Dr. Berenice Chan graduated from the University of Adelaide and has been with Smileworks since 2009. She was awarded the prestigious Australian and New Zealand Paediatric Society Prize for the best undergraduate student in Paediatric Dentistry. Dr Chan enjoys seeing little children and over the years, she has built friendly and strong relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Chan wants to help patients with dental anxiety get over bad childhood experiences by providing a supportive and non-intimidating environment to make dental visits fun and enjoyable! To encourage healthy and confident smiles, Dr Chan firmly believes that every child should have access to basic dental care and education to build good oral health habits from young.

Dr Chan’s expertise lies within paediatric dentistry, general family dentistry and aesthetic dentistry including veneers, crowns and teeth whitening. She is able to perform wisdom tooth extractions and wisdom tooth surgeries. She is also an accredited Invisalign practitioner and can manage simple to moderate orthodontic patients with clear aligners. She has a portfolio of satisfied patients with their straighter and beautiful smiles.

Dr Chan is passionate about community outreach programmes and is actively involved in pre-school and special needs community screening events. She is also a part time tutor with the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Dentistry. She finds it especially rewarding as she continues to learn alongside the undergraduates and at the same time, impart her knowledge and skills to our future dentists.

During her free time, Dr. Chan enjoys baking, cooking, exercising and exploring the world with her 2 cheeky and curious daughters.
