Smileworks Surgical Suite

MEDISAVE

Medisave is a national medical savings scheme based in Singapore that helps individuals (Singaporeans and Permanent Residents) set aside part of their monthly income into their CPF Medisave account to pay for future hospitalisation, day surgery, and certain outpatient expenses. Certain dental treatments can be paid for by Medisave as well.

Smileworks Surgical Suite is accredited by the Ministry of Health and CPF. Which allows patients to claim a portion of their surgical fees from their Medisave account.

Who is eligible to use Medisave for dental services?

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who has a Medisave account with a sufficient balance is eligible for Medisave claims.

If you do not have an account or have insufficient funds, your immediate family members would be able to pay for you using their Medisave accounts.

Your Medisave accounts can also be used for your approved dependents (Spouse, Child, Parent, Grandparents, and Siblings). They can be of any nationality except for grandparents and siblings who must be Singapore Citizens or PR.

Medisave claims are subject to approval by CPF, depending on the balance of the claiming amount.

How do I pay with Medisave?

After deciding to proceed with the treatment, our clinic receptionist would check if you would like to claim Medisave for the procedures. The clinic receptionist will prepare a Medisave Claim Authorisation (MCAF) for you or the account holder to sign before the surgery. On the day of surgery, please bring along your NRIC or the account holder’s IC for verification purposes.

The team will handle the submission process for you. Medisave will send a claim statement after the claim application has been approved and processed indicating the amount deducted from your Medisave account and the name of the clinic where the claim was made.

How much can I claim from my Medisave account?

The amount of Medisave claim available to patients depends on the surgery being done. Each surgery has a specific code and a predetermined amount that can be claimed. All claims are based on a fixed limit from the Table Of Surgical Procedure (TOSP). The table of Operations is provided by the Ministry of Health (MOH), as shown below:

Medisave claimable amount ranges from $250 – $7,550 based on the complexity of the surgery. After the Medisave claim has been made, the patient will be required to make payment for the remaining balance of the outstanding bill upon discharge.

Note: The amount stated above serves only as a guideline. The final amount payable is dependent on the complexity of the respective procedure. For more information, please contact us.
