Dr Ivan Lim is an accredited specialist in Periodontology by the Singapore Dental Council. The scope of his practice includes non-surgical and surgical treatment of gum disease around both teeth and implants, management of receding gums, and dental implant therapy, with special interests in saving teeth through bone and gum grafting procedures.

Dr Ivan obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2014. Together with his group, his undergraduate research won the first prize at the IADR (SEA Division) 2014, and the second prize at the IADR (General Session) 2015. After graduation, Dr Ivan worked at various public healthcare institutions, including the National Healthcare Group polyclinics, Health Promotion Board School Dental Services, and the National Dental Centre of Singapore (NDCS). During this time, he also completed the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Examinations with commendations. Subsequently, Dr Ivan was awarded an NDCS scholarship to pursue his postgraduate training. He obtained his Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology from NUS in 2020.

Dr Ivan was an Associate Consultant at NDCS, before leaving with a decade of experience in the public sector. During his stint at NDCS, he managed a wide spectrum of complex periodontal cases and received Singapore Health Quality Service Awards for patient care. Dr Ivan was also actively involved in patient education efforts and was a speaker at the World Oral Health Day Public Forum 2024.

Dr Ivan is a firm believer in continuous education and keeping abreast of the latest research developments in his field. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and accepted for poster exhibition at the inaugural IADR General Session and Exhibition in Washington, USA.

Outside of work, Dr Ivan enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
